Client: Northwest Grocery Association

The Northwest Grocery Association serves as the spokesperson for the Northwest’s grocery industry. In the past year the association expanded to cover Oregon, Washington and Idaho. The association needed fresh, updated marketing material to re-introduce themselves to both their membership and government decision makers.

DPR’s challenge was to create a professional, yet enticing, marketing brochure that met all of the association’s practical daily needs while promoting the high level of member services and staff.

After brainstorming with the client, DPR developed a customized marketing brochure built around the industries commitment to the environment by creating a recyclable bag folder printed on recyclable paper.  The end package allows the Northwest Grocery Association to present its association, staff, services and commitment in creative and reusable style.

Client: Tualatin Crawfish Festival & Class Act Events

Our charge for marketing The Tualatin Crawfish Festival was to develop and execute a marketing plan that delivered big results on a limited budget.  Grant funds were awarded to expand our advertising outside of the traditional target market, thus our challenge was to both introduce and entice potential visitors who may travel further to the festival.  Our approach included:

  • Strong traffic drive to the website
  • Viral Marketing via local event and activities websites and blogs
  • Weekly press releases highlighting old and new activities
  • Targeted paid radio coupled with a paid live-broadcast on our major event night
  • Targeted paid newspaper ads

Public Safety Campaigns:  From Sheriff to Law Levy

Client: Linn County Sherriff Tim Mueller, Linn County Sheriff Dept., Lebanon Police Dept., and Write-In Candidate Randy Hiner

DPR is proud of the work delivered over the past ten years on behalf of our law enforcement clients.  Public Safety campaign work requires a unique combination of community outreach, strong messaging and cost-efficient budgeting.  Communicating the strengths of leadership and efficiency of new or renewed law levies requires a strong understanding of the issues as well as the community.  Every public safety campaign executed by DPR is personalized to the department and its community.

CAMPAIGN CONSULTING: Paid Media Campaign

Client: Representative Vic Gilliam

Rep. Gilliam faced an uphill battle while running for election in a challenging year to incumbent Republicans.  Appointed to the seat the previous year, Rep. Gilliam needed to not only introduce himself to his district constituency but also to provide tangible take-homes to earn the districts vote for the first time.

Television played a key role in our campaign as the markets allowed us to reach a variety of target audiences at an affordable cost.  Our initial television campaign included a series of commercials aimed at introducing Rep. Gilliam with a focus on his remarkable constituent work.  We let real people share their real stories about Rep. Gilliam in a way that endeared him to the people of his diverse district.

The next batch of commercials we developed addressed the tough economic times facing the State and local families.  These commercials also began the first batch of comparison ads – establishing the clear differences between the two candidates.  In addition, we crafted an “Endorsement Ad” with an emphasis on agricultural endorsements to inoculate our opponents charge about his perceived lack of agriculture support to our candidacy.
